Only 56% of MBBS graduates pass the NMC Licensing Exam
According to recent updates from the Nepal Medical Council (NMC), the results for the 68th licensing examination have been released. Approximately 56.68 percent of examinees have successfully passed the exam, with a pass rate of 55.96 percent in medical and 61.05 percent in dental.
A total of 1,737 medical candidates and 2,285 dental candidates took part in the examination. This marks a substantial improvement from the previous year, where only 46 percent of candidates passed the 67th licensing examination.
Examinees dissatisfied with their results have the option to apply for re-registration within 35 days from the date of publication of the notice. The process requires applicants to clearly mention their name and roll number in the application and submit it to the NMC’s email, along with a fee of Rs 1,500.
Successful candidates are reminded to apply online for their registration certificate within 35 days from the date of publication of the notice. The NMC has stated that the certificates will be ready 15 days after the application date.
Upon collection of the certificate, examinees are required to be present for biometric attendance, photo verification, and signature testing. The NMC has specified that the certificate will be issued once these formalities are completed.
